In Montpellier, Jacques and Laurent Pourcel have become two of the top ambassadors of French gastronomy. In 1988, they created the Jarden des Sens in Montpellier with Olivier Château. This restaurant quickly became a gastronomic reference in the South of France. Beyond its borders, Jacques and Laurent [...] Pourcel represented French gastronomy on the French Pavilion at the World's Fair in Shanghai from May 1st to October 31st 2010 with the luxury brasserie 6 Sens (China). They are inspired by the region in the South of France, and their universe is declined around the Mediterranean Sea. Their cuisine is at once earthy and marine, and it is in these contrasts -- and others -- that they excel: hot and cold, soft and crisp, sweet and savory, muted and bitter. Theirs is a cuisine of flavors and of colors.
