Honored with a third star in 2007, Anne-Sophie Pic has founded her personal brand of cuisine on the values of respect, flavor and simplicity, a feminine simplicity that still manages to seek out perfection and frankness of flavor. Alongside her husband, David Sinapian, Anne-Sophie Pic has built a gourment [...] universe founded on the transmission of taste. Her universe includes the gourmet restaurant, dedicated to creation, the bistro -- le 7 -- which takes on a wholly other culinary repertoire, the Scook cooking school, to teach techniques, savoir-faire and the association of flavors, and the gourmet store in the heart of the French capital. When the Pic group celebrated its 120th anniversary in 2009, Anne-Sophie Pic decided to take her art outside its walls and took over the kitchens of an equally elegant establishment, the Beau Rivage luxury hotel in Lausanne, with a sophisticated style of cuisine. In 2012 she opened her Parisian restaurant La Dame de Pic, which was born of a desire to summon the senses. Anne-Sophie Pic has since created perfumes with Philippe Bousseton, the perfumer of Takasago, designed to tell a story of emotions via the sense of smell before taste intervenes in the dish she has imagined. Her devotion to children has also led her to create a foundation, Donnons du goût à l'enfance (Give Flavor to Childhood), which works notably with hospitals and schools.
