Smoked Butter

Ingredients (1 people)
  • butter
  • hay


Melt butter in a small saucepan that will fit in a large Dutch oven or flameproof casserole dish. Cover the bottom of the pan with a layer of hay and place the saucepan on top. Set fire to the hay, then cover the pan to put out the fire and create smoke. Let smoke for 2–3 minutes.
