Waffles
For brunch perfection, put waffles on the menu. Served with fresh fruit, juice, and coffee, these waffles make weekend mornings special.
Instructions
Step 1: Making the waffle batter
Beat the egg whites to stiff peaks. Set aside. Whisk together flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients, and slowly add half of the milk, the egg yolks, and the melted butter, whisking as you go. Whisk together well, bringing the batter together slowly to avoid lumps. Add the remaining milk and continue whisking. Before folding in your egg whites, make sure your waffle iron is hot. Gently fold the egg whites into the batter. Cook the waffles immediately after.
Step 2: Cooking
Cook the waffles in a waffle iron for 2 minutes. Make the whipped cream. Garnish the waffles with the whipped cream by piping it with a pastry bag. Serve hot.
